Five ways we drive change

The core initiatives behind Mpact's campaigns — research, storytelling, and community leadership working together.

Research & Advocacy
Queer Data Project
Turning data into visibility.

In partnership with Johns Hopkins University and UCLA, leverages social media data to develop new methods for estimating the population size of gay and bisexual men — helping communities advocate for more resources.

Digital Health Communication
Q Collab
Building the next generation of health communicators.

Collaboration with content creators to strengthen leadership skills, develop effective health messages, and reach queer communities through trusted digital voices.

HIV & Wellness
Vida Positiva
Community. Visibility. Leadership.

Builds community among queer people living with HIV, increases visibility, and strengthens leadership so people living with HIV can advance their rights and improve their health and wellness.

Narrative Change
Narrative Storytelling
Changing the stories that shape our lives.

Uses storytelling to elevate queer voices, challenge stigma, and create greater visibility for communities whose experiences are too often ignored or misrepresented.

Outbreak Response
Queer Vax
Community leadership in outbreak response.

Works with queer communities of color to improve vaccine knowledge and access, particularly for outbreak response such as mpox.

“Right To”

People living with HIV have the right to sex, body autonomy, community, and freedom of expression. Sex is valuable — you can live with HIV and still have a fulfilling, pleasurable sex life.

Launched in 2020 with the SHAG Consortium — formed with four regional networks under the Robert Carr Fund grant — to create supportive legal and policy environments for gay and bisexual men worldwide.

Derecho A · Español

Sex Education

Anal About My Health

We believe real stories are the key to sex education, and our communities do best when they learn from their peers.

That’s why MPact Global Action for Gay Men’s Health and Rights has expanded our award nominated Anal About My Health campaign into this series of comics on sexual health and harm reduction.

We worked with illustrators and artists around the world to develop their stories into comics that are just as informative and educational as they are fun and sexy! Our goal is to break down stigma around sexual health, and to present taboo topics about sex in open and honest ways.

So what are you anal about?
