The most effective advocacy initiatives, programs, and services are those grounded in solid evidence and cogent analysis of structural disparities. To support such efforts, MPact’s research initiatives aim to empower community organizations to lead participatory action research.
The Action for Access! research team works to develop a base of evidence for the health service needs of gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men. Team members from Kenya and Vietnam recently worked in collaboration with the new SHAG Consortium to develop the fourth iteration of the Global Men’s Health and Rights Survey (GMHR). The results of the survey will help us to continue making the case for comprehensive, community-led, and tailored services for gay and bisexual men around the world.
