Online Training for Health Professionals in Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania and Zimbabwe – Tools for Mentors

MPact has developed guides and assessment tools to assist mentors in their mentorship role with participants of the Online Training for Healthcare Professionals in Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.  Each tool aims to strengthen the mentor’s skills, knowledge and comfort level as a mentor.

Mentor Skills Self-Assessment

The Mentor Skills and Knowledge Self-Assessment Tool will help you assess your comfort level with specific mentoring skills and content knowledge. You will also identify one skill and one knowledge area you would want to strengthen or develop during the program.  By completing this self-assessment, you will be able to track your own progress and development.

After you have completed the self-assessment on SurveyMonkey, you will receive a copy via email.

The skills and knowledge self-assessment should be completed before the start of the program, 2nd September 2020.  Please follow this link to complete your self-assessment: Mentor Skills and Knowledge Self-Assessment.

Please note that this self-assessment does not count for your program’s overall evaluation/scoring. It is a tool to assist you in strengthening your skills.

Mentor-Mentee Relationship Self-Assessment Tool

The Mentor-Mentee Self-Assessment Tool will help you assess challenges, progress, and goals with the mentorship program.  This tool encourages you to reflect and work on adjustments as you see fit as a mentor.  By completing this self-assessment, you can track your progress, development, and identify areas of support you might need from MPact.

After you have completed the self-assessment on SurveyMonkey, you will receive a copy via email.

The Mentor-Mentee Self-Assessment tool should be completed after the second or third week of the program’s start, 2nd September 2020.  MPact staff will email a reminder to all mentors with the appropriate link.

Please note that this self-assessment does not count for your program’s overall evaluation/scoring. It is a tool to assist you in strengthening your skills.
