The Advocate's Guide to Social Media

Social media can be an incredible tool to increase an organization’s visibility and help garner public support. It can help us as advocates to raise awareness about our causes, or our mission, or even our programs, and to mobilize community for advocacy by engaging them in virtual conversations.

Our Senior Communications Officer, Gregory Tartaglione, recently led an online training for our partners in Eswatini on how to use social media as a creative, community-focused, and cost efficient way to advertise and to get their work to new audiences, to share resources and information about the causes that are important to them, and even to learn more about their target audiences through online engagement.

Part one lays out five key questions that every nonprofit can use to develop a robust social marketing strategy

Part two gives some real examples of how MPact has utilized social marketing strategy to create engaging and organic online content.
