On Saturday October 2nd at 10 am began the Festival for the equality and freedom in Paraguay, organized by SOMOSGAY and convened by the Paraguayan Theater Center (CEPATE), the Youth House, and the Gay Community of Paraguay (CHOPA).
Music and art claimed the secular and republican character of the Paraguayan state, stressing that the principles of equality and liberty cannot be threatened by speeches and violent demonstrations that seek to impose dogmatic principles deeply obscurantist and fundamentalist, trying to prevent the advance of human rights everyone in Paraguay.
Artists like Rolando Chaparro, Hugo Ferreira, Dayana Urunaga, The Residents of Rock (Las Residentas del Rock), Square Pants, Mnesis, live DJs, among others, who set the scene in the morning and early afternoon with the note that gave voice and listening to songs of equality for freedom.
The festival was also attended by Senator Alfredo Jaeggli liberal who once again pledged their support for the bill to allow equal marriage in Paraguay, as presented by SOMOSGAY.
