As we eagerly await the final results, MPact congratulates the record number of U.S. voters who peacefully exercised their democratic rights and voted.
At MPact, we know that the results of the U.S. presidential election will have an immense impact on the lives of gay and bisexual men globally. We also know what it feels like to be left behind and to not be counted. Amid this contentious election, MPact and its partners from around the world remain hopeful that every vote will be counted and that all voices will be heard.
As a global gay-led organization, we are especially proud to witness the “rainbow wave” of openly LGBTQ candidates celebrating wins in this election cycle, including the first openly gay Black and Afro-Latinx members of U.S. congress. This signifies hard-won progress for the LGBTIQ community, and energizes our commitment to develop leadership among black, brown, and indigenous gay and bisexual men.
MPact is here to ensure gay men are not left behind.
We must stand up for our rights.
We must fight for justice.
We must not leave anyone behind.
