MSMGF is seeking proposals for new solutions to current issues facing young gay and bisexual men around the world.
Up to eight winning innovators or innovation teams will be selected to present and develop their solutions at Out With It, MSMGF’s Pre-Meeting at AIDS2018 on July 22nd in Amsterdam.
TURN A CHALLENGE INTO A SOLUTION
Whether you are a student with a creative idea or a group of engineers with a promising prototype, Out With It is a way to develop your ideas into fully-fledged solutions. We are looking for youth-led and community-focused innovations on sexual health issues such as access to services, stigma and discrimination, sex education, and more!
SUBMIT YOUR IDEAS AS A SHORT VIDEO
We want to hear from you! After filling out this brief online form, create a 2-3 minute video telling us about yourself, describing the challenge you hope to address, and pitching your innovative idea. Use concrete examples to show us how your solution could benefit gay and bisexual men- it’s as simple as a selfie!
PRESENT YOUR PROPOSAL IN AMSTERDAM
Our planning committee will select up to 8 innovative ideas to be presented and developed at our meeting on July 22nd. Out With It will be devoted to incubating, discussing, workshopping, and further honing the selected solutions. Team leaders are expected to join us in Amsterdam to lead plenary sessions and break-out groups.
MSMGF will support the selected teams by providing all hotel costs and registration costs to attend AIDS2018 for up to two people per team. Teams attending the Pre-Meeting will need to fundraise their own transportation to Amsterdam and per diem costs.
WORK TO MAKE YOUR IDEAS A REALITY
Out With It will culminate with attendees voting to select two solutions that will move on to a pilot testing phase. This will include assistance from MSMGF for funds mobilization, scale-up, and/or dissemination. The selected solutions will be announced during a special awards ceremony that will take place during AIDS2018.
Stay tuned for an upcoming webinar with more background on human centered design and information on how to make a video submission.
