An Open Letter of Support for the Drodrolagi (Rainbow) Movement, University of the South Pacific, Fiji

Hello friends!

The members of the Drodrolagi Movement ask for your urgent assistance.

The Drodrolagi Movement is a social and support network for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered (LGBT), transsexual, intersex, gender-variant, closeted, questioning, akava’ine, laelae, vakasalewalewa, pinapinaaine, fa’afafine, fakaleiti, tongzhi, re fak hen and other identified students, and their allies and friends at the University of the South Pacific, Laucala Campus, Fiji.

We are currently seeking support from members of the wider community in Fiji and the Pacific, in our efforts to be affiliated with the University of the South Pacific Students Association.

Please show your support and endorse the attached Open Letter – Individual and organisational endorsements are welcome.

 Once all endorsements are received, the letter will be presented on your behalf to the President and Office holders of the University of the South Pacific Students Association (USPSA), and cc’d to the Vice Chancellor of the University of the South Pacific, Chair of the USP Council, Fiji Human Rights Commission, and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Pacific Region, Suva, Fiji.

Deadline for endorsements is close of business, 20th February, 2011. We also ask that you pass this email to supportive contacts.
