As GayRussia.Ru is reporting today, the Moscow Arbitration Court ruled that the closing of the capital’s oldest gay club in November last year was illegal.
The All Russian Blind Society, which was renting the premises where the club was located, said they were pressured by the Prefect to terminate the lease agreement or the public funding the organization receive from the city would be affected.
The organization eventually changed the lock and prevented the club owner to access the premises.
In the decision of which GayRussia.Ru could obtain a copy, the Court said that the All Russian Blind Society breached the lease agreement that it previously signed with the owner of the club "Body and Soul". The Court decision came into force on August 9 and was not appealed by any of the two parties.
